Seven years ago I needed a support person badly.
Through conversations I’d had with him as a customer, I offered my support desk job to Tommy Periera and he accepted. He chose to use the name “Sancho Sanches” because he didn’t want to call attention to himself.
Over the years we became friends – more than just a working relationship we shared our ups and downs on a personal level. Though I never met Tommy, in person, and only talked to him on one occasion, he became an integral part of my business. We shared hundreds, if not thousands, of emails.
I trusted him with everything and he proved to be nothing but trustworthy.
Several weeks ago he stopped answering support tickets and email messages from me. This didn’t seem like him and I had no way of reaching him, or anyone who might know him. He was a very private guy and I respected that.
And so for the last couple of weeks I’ve done Google searches hoping to find an answer.
I’m deeply saddened to share that today I found the answer.
Tommy passed away on August 16th, 2015 at the age of 39. I don’t have any details other than that.
I feel the pain of this right now.
I apologize that things have been off in recent weeks. Tommy was such an invaluable asset to this business and the glue that ensured the little things happened. He is missed.
Please take a moment and wish him the best.
