I haven’t tried it but thought it would be good to share. Yea I would think you’d have to put some code on the download page. It can work for affiliates, too *if* you can get the merchant to put your code on their download page but that isn’t very likely.
Another idea I have is if you happen to know that most people who hit the order page actually do place an order then you can have a bridge page between your presell and the order page with the code in it and then send them to the order page.
Or if you have an optin you can measure how many people who opted in bought after you follow up with them by email.
With Blog Popper you can be more covert (fake referring site, etc) but for some people it might conflict with software prospects have installed (antivirus, etc) and not work the way you want it to (false positive warnings, block cookies). Blog Popper is not a WordPress Plugin although it does have one in order to be used with a WordPress site if you want. It’s not really a problem but there will be some conflicts.
Soda Popper is not as stealthy but isn’t meant to be and it gets the basic job done and is more user friendly. It’s a WordPress Plugin.
Blog Popper and Soda Popper have different purposes. If you need to be more black hat go with Blog Popper and if you want to be white hat go with Soda Popper. I wouldn’t recommend Blog Popper for those who are not technically inclined or unresourceful both as far as installation, troubleshooting and usage.
I recommend you use the one that suits your needs the most but Soda Popper might be the better choice for most people.

Anyone tried this? I can see this would be good for product vendors and squeeze pages. Do you have to put some google code on the thankyou page?

What is the difference between Blog Popper and Soda Popper? Is one more powerful than the other?
Thanks,
